Splish. Splash. But no bath.

Last week (when I drove to the city for a baby check up that is not until tomorrow) we spent the morning at a really neat park in the city. Out where we live we just don't have parks like this. This was our second visit and won't be our last!

So much climbing

and exploring

and really neat pieces to play on.

And what makes this park even better is there is a spray park there too! And after a very hot morning the children had SO much fun playing in the water. It's a great place to play, splash and even sit in the shade! The tables are covered with HUGE umbrellas and there are tons of tables with great views of the park.

I found this day that the older my children get the harder they are to photograph. You see, the little ones stick closer to momma while out in public but my girls are at an age where they make "friends" and are off playing in no time. I have to stop them to catch a good picture! But I love spending days like this with them and I love watching them play with others and explore a playground where they can test their physical abilities.

If you live in my area you really must make time for this great and FREE place. The fountains run from noon to 6pm everyday Memorial Day to Labor Day. Email me for specific locations if you want them.

Daddy's Little Girl

She may be getting big.....

but she's still daddy's little girl.

And there's no better place than daddy's arms for a Sunday afternoon nap.

Not Me Monday!

Mckmama- Not Me Monday

I am NOT really feeling this pregnancy now.

I am NOT dreaming almost nightly about the birth of our new son.

I am NOT struggling with swelling and high blood pressure because of the heat and the fact that I am in my third trimester.

I am NOT getting heartburn everyday even from drinking too much water at one time.

I am NOT feeling baby boy kick and turn with more strength everyday.

I have NOT even asked him outloud to please settle down and stop kicking me.

I am NOT thoroughly enjoying carrying our fifth babe and praying for a healthy rest of the pregnancy.

I am NOT so excited that it is cooler this week. While I do find it totally crazy that I have just called 88 "cooler"!!

Had any "Not Me" moments this week? I would love to read them. Just leave me a comment. Or, head over to MckMama's blog to read what other mom's wish was "Not" them!

Garden Video

Here is a little bit more of Katherine "helping" with the garden produce. She really enjoyed it and she made the job much more fun!

A Shellin' and a Shuckin'

It's garden season around here.

And Katherine has been so much fun this summer!

She wants to help with all of it and has actually gotten quite good at shellin peas and shuckin corn!

Our garden didn't do great this summer but we have had some fruit to put up.

And I've had lots of help!

That's one advantage to large family living!

My Daybook.

FOR TODAY

Outside my window...it is very HOT HOT HOT HOT here again today.

I am thinking...my body is aching from moving and loading garage sale items this week. I have a little more to do today and hoping I can hold out and get it done.

I am thankful for...a loving husband that even through my crazy pregnancy mood swings and late night cries. He hold me me, loves me, and talks some sense back into me.

From the learning rooms...we are making "candy" necklaces with fruit loops this morning. Anything to help pass the time right now.

From the kitchen...it is a simple lunch followed by steaks, cabbage, and pinto beans for dinner.

I am wearing...a jean jumper and white shirt.

I am creating...lesson plans. Our books came yesterday!!!

I am going...to speech, the bank, the store, and hopfully the library.

I am reading...Psalm, while my body is tired so is my spirit. I am weary and need reminding that God is sovereign and that His love covers me if I continue to seek Him and love Him

I am hoping...that we get a lot accomplished on the house tomorrow night and Saturday. We are running out of time and this nesting momma is starting to stress!!

I am hearing...Katherine playing dollhouse. She has started playing so much! Using her imagination and mimicking what she sees. It is so neat to watch her play and explore.

Around the house...potty training still with Katherine, then laundry, and mopping the floor (I HOPE!!)

One of my favorite things...date night with my hubby. Hoping our sitter works out and that can happen Friday night. It's been a long long time!

A few plans for the rest of the week:

  • Garage sale
  • cleaning
  • the boys' room getting done and ready to paint
  • make salsa (was given two huge bags of garden produce)
  • clean my room. It is horrible!

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

I wonder how much Jeremiah will look like his older brother when he is born?

Join in all the "daybook" fun over here.

Sunday's Best.

Look who is almost 2!!!!

The "Fab" Four.

Stylin' on a summer Sunday Morning.

I have learned that it is VERY VERY hard to get a photo where everyone is looking at the camera, with eyes open, and a smile! But I keep on trying!

Not Me Monday.

Mckmama- Not Me Monday

I am NOT tackling this pile of items for a yard sale later this week.

I must price, sort, and load all of it before Friday. So I am starting today.

I have not had children in the past week with random fevers. They feel hot one minute and yet have no other symptoms. And as fast as it came it leaves. No warning, no symptoms, no anything. Just weird but very aggravating!!!

This is NOT me with still over two months to go before I deliver sweet baby #5. I an NOT retaining so much fluid in every single inch of my body that I feel and look like I have "blown up" over the past month. When I say I am retaining water I mean in my hips, in my face, in feet, in my belly, in everything! It all feels full and stretched to the MAX! But over all it isn't too bad yet and I am hoping when the heat passes it will too.

All right, I am NOT going to get off of here now and head into the basement. I keep motivating myself with the idea that it is cool down there!!!
